Bayern Munich vs. Paris Saint-Germain figures to be an absolute banger of a match in the Champions League and there will be millions of eyes focused on the two clubs worldwide.
As such, fans should get to know a guy, who will have a very important role in the match — Swiss referee Sandro Schärer.
The 37-year-old has officiated two of Bayern Munich’s previous Champions League games as show in the information from @iMiaSanMia below:
Swiss referee Sandro Schärer has been appointed to officiate Tuesday’s
Champions League semifinal first leg between Paris Saint-Germain and FC Bayern at the Parc des Princes. #UCL
Sandro Schärer has previously officiated two Bayern games:
-Bayern 1-2 Inter (UCL 24/25)
-Bayern 2-0 Lokomotiv Moscow (UCL 20/21)
There does not appear to be any craziness associated with Schärer’s history. All fans can tend to feel as if a referee is out to get their team — and maybe that is true once in a while, but Schärer seems…okay.
