The Pittsburgh Steelers traded for DK Metcalf in March and quickly showed the belief they had in him as their top target, giving him a four-year extension upon acquiring him. Through four games, Metcalf has come up in big moments with big catches. He has 15 receptions and three touchdowns, including an 80-yard catch and run against the Minnesota Vikings in Week 4.
In addition to that, Metcalf ended Week 4 leading all receivers in yards after the catch, which is a wrinkle that many didn’t see coming
from the big, physical receiver. It’s another stat, though, where Metcalf’s value is highlighted.
Per PFF, Rodgers’ passer rating of 143.3 when targeting Metcalf is the highest for any receiver in the NFL with at least 20 targets.
Metcalf and the Steelers will hopefully only get better as the season rolls on. With several key injuries around the division to Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson, Pittsburgh is in prime position to take hold of the AFC North and not let go.
