This is going to be bare bones this week due to Circumstances. Apologies.
The Game
The Kansas State Wildcats (2-4, 1-2 Big 12) host the TCU Hypnotoads Horned Frogs (4-1, 1-1 Big 12).
K-State holds an 10-8 lead in
the all-time series, despite losing three times during your Benevolent Despot’s time in Manhattan. When TCU joined the Big 12, they held a 3-2 lead in the series; it’s been 8-5 K-State since then, including the epic 2022 Big 12 Championship Game.
TCU’s a pass-heavy team; they’ve run for 628 yards this season while Josh Hoover’s thrown for over 1500. Three TCU receivers have more yards than leading rusher Kevorian Barnes (204), and that would still be true if Barnes had another 96 yards. However, as is typical for TCU, they’ve also got three guys who can run the ball, hence the 628 yards rushing.
Of course, only five teams in the Power 4 have worse rush defenses than K-State, so…
Kickoff
Saturday, October 11, 2:30pm CT at Bill Snyder Family Stadium (50,000) in Manhattan, Kansas.

Weather
Early tailgating will be somewhat cloudy with temps rising from the mid-60s early to around 80° at game time, where it will stay until you finally escape at 6:00.
Odds
TCU opened as a 1.5-point favorite; DraftKings now says TCU -2.5, with the over at 55.5. That maths out to 29-26 TCU. The money line is +100 for K-State, -120 for the Frogs. Oddsshark, which as we’ve noted has been wildly wrong about K-State all year, projects a 32-28 TCU win.
