Colorado Rockies radio broadcast affiliate KOA announced this morning that Zach Goodman has been named to their open position in the booth. He will join longtime voice of the Rockies Jack Corrigan on Rockies radio broadcasts beginning Saturday, April 4th.
KOA—owned by media conglomerate iHeartRadio—used spring training this year to audition
multiple replacements for Jerry Schemmel, who was laid off during the off-season. Triple-A Albuquerque Isotopes host Josh Suchon, Double-A Hartford Yard Goats host Jeff Dooley, and current KOA producer Jesse Thomas, and Goodman were all candidates for the position.
Suchon, Dooley, and Thomas will all resume the original positions they held prior to auditioning.
Goodman, 26, is the son of Drew Goodman, who has been a member of the Rockies’ television broadcast team since 2002 and is currently the team’s lead play-by-play commentator.
Zach Goodman started his broadcasting career in college as a student at Webster University before becoming the lead broadcaster for the Arizona Diamondbacks affiliate Double-A Amarillo Sod Poodles in 2024 and 2025.
