Taking the ball for the home team will be Jacob Lopez. The southpaw has turned his season fully around and has been one of the better pitchers in the American League since rejoining the A’s rotation. Can he keep that up today in Sacramento
against a hungry Mariners lineup that is on desperation and panic mode?

The Mariners meanwhile have right-hander Bryce Miller taking the ball for them in the finale. Miller has been so-so overall but has been struggling of late. That’s perfect news for the A’s, who are ready for the chance at the young righty.
