Liam Rosenior has won three of his first four games in charge of Chelsea — a pretty decent start — but now four of the next five are away, including potentially season-defining games against Napoli in the Champions League and Arsenal in the League Cup. We’ve struggled on the road (2 wins in 8 in all competitions) and have not won an away game in the league since beating Burnley two months ago.
Selhurst Park isn’t exactly a friendly or welcoming place to go to either, though Crystal Palace are in a bit
of a tailspin at the moment, with captain Marc Guéhi gone to Manchester City, manager Oliver Glasner actively feuding with ownership, and results overall not going in their favor at all. They’re winless in ten (10!) in all competitions and have not won a game at home in nearly three months!
So, something’s got to give. Will it be the very much movable object or the easily stoppable force?
To make us hopefully less stoppable, Cole Palmer was back in training after missing out midweek. Dário Essugo however has suffered a setback in his hamstring rehab and will be out for another month or more, while Filip Jörgensen won’t be available after picking up a knock against Pafos.
