Duke’s next recruiting visit is from Colton Hiller, who got to campus on Monday. Hiller, a 6-6, five-star recruit out of Coatesville, Pennsylvania, is a big deal. He’s generally seen as one of the top three talents in the class.
He’s highly athletic and a brilliant shooter. People are going to compare him to JJ Redick, which is understandable since he’s a tremendous outside shooter, but he’s probably more athletic and almost certainly a better defender, at least at this stage.
It appears to be a two-team
race right now, with Duke and Florida working hard to get Hiller.
Hiller’s brother, a coveted offensive lineman, has committed to Florida, which could be a factor.
Florida is going to give some serious competition, but Duke has a lot to offer too, obviously.
