The Tennessee Volunteers indeed will be without Jermod McCoy for yet another week, and another starter is joining him on the sideline.
The initial availability report was released on Wednesday night ahead
of Tennessee’s clash with the Florida Gators, and TE Miles Kitselman is listed as out.
Josh Heupel said on Monday during his press conference that folks would have to wait until the release of the availability report for Kitselman and others, and the report confirmed the suspicion regarding Kitselman.
He suffered a leg injury, which looked like a knee, in the third quarter against New Mexico State. On first-and-goal, Peyton Lewis was tackled as Kitselman was out in front of him blocking, and Lewis fell into his left leg, which bent awkwardly. He had to be helped off the field and did not return. Not good for next week that he didn’t even merit a questionable tag on Wednesday.
Speaking of Lewis, he’s listed as questionable for Saturday, as well as starting guard Wendell Moe, Jr. We’ll see if they can upgrade to probable or off the report later in the week.
