Transfer journalist Fabrizio Romano gave the deal between Watford and Sporting CP for former Bayern Munich winger Nestory Irankunda his patented “Here we go”:

Bayern sorted sell-on clause details with Watford and green light also from the Australian talented winger. 🇦🇺

One of the final details of the deal was how Bayern Munich would get paid from the sell-on clause it holds on Irankunda. Bayern Munich’s stake in the deal is rumored to be as much as 40%, which is wild. While that will not provide a massive cash influx from this transfer, every little bit helps as the club prepares to bolster its war chest for what could be active transfer windows in the summer of 2027 and 2028.
