The Wisconsin Badgers are struggling on the field, losing their last five games to drop to 2-5 on the season, with the No. 6 Oregon Ducks coming up this weekend.
As the Badgers continue to disappoint on the field,
fans are wondering how that could impact the team off the field, specifically with recruiting.
So far, Wisconsin has lost only one recruit, three-star wide receiver Tayshon Bardo, but that was more on the Badgers’ end in a mutual parting as they’re looking for another wideout in the class.
But, we’re starting to see other teams offer Wisconsin’s 2026 recruits, and some are starting to schedule visits elsewhere ahead of National Signing Day.
One of the more popular recruits has been three-star defensive lineman Djidjou Bah, who committed to the Badgers back during the first weekend of official visits in the summer.
Bah picked up an offer from the Colorado Buffaloes and the Penn State Nittany Lions back in July. Then, Nebraska offered Bah earlier this month and could get an official visit soon. Bah is also set to visit Georgia Tech this weekend, further raising questions about his future.
Elsewhere, three-star tight end Jack Janda is getting interest from schools, but as a defensive lineman. Janda also committed to Wisconsin during the summer after an official visit, but there are several Big Ten schools after him. Iowa is hosting Janda on an unofficial visit for November 8th, while Michigan State is expected to get an official visit after that. Interest could keep growing, which could mean more visits as December nears.
Of course, there’s the Amari Latimer headline, as the four-star visited Ohio State on an official visit. The Buckeyes don’t have a running back in the 2026 class, and Latimer could be a big loss for Wisconsin.
Four-star wide receiver commit Jayden Petit is also getting interest from the schools that pushed for him back in the summer, such as Oklahoma, which continues to push hard for the blue-chipper.
Three-star linebacker commit Aden Reeder has started to get on the radar of other Big Ten schools as well. Reeder picked up offers from the Michigan Wolverines, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and Kentucky Wildcats this week. We’ll see if any visits come about that.
Wisconsin is still pushing hard for quite a few recruits to add to its 2026 class, so the group seems far from finished at the moment. But, there may be a bit of movement both in and out of the class by the time National Signing Day comes.
