Indiana football is set to take on Miami in the College Football Playoff National Championship Game on Monday night at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida.
Indiana, the No. 1-seed, is here after winning the Big Ten Football Championship Game, beating No. 9-seed Alabama in the Rose Bowl and beating No. 5-seed Oregon in the Peach Bowl. The Hoosiers won both of their prior playoff games in blowout fashion.
Miami, the No. 10-seed, is here after beating No. 7-seed Texas A&M on the road in the first
round, upsetting No. 2-seed Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl and beating No. 6-seed Ole Miss in the Fiesta Bowl. The Hurricanes have played remarkably well on both sides of the ball to get here, making plays in the fourth quarter.
Curt Cignetti and Mario Cristobal, the head coaches of the Hoosiers and Hurricanes, respectively, spoke with the media on Sunday to preview the matchup.
