Tom Pelissero is reporting that the Tennessee Titans and Calvin Ridley have agreed to a restructured contract:
It will be interesting to see what this looks like. They didn’t really have any flexibility in his contract to move money around. This probably means that he agreed to take a pay cut to stay with the Titans. They likely added some incentives
to the contract, where if he performs well, he can get back close to the number he was supposed to make in 2026.
Ridley did seem to have good chemistry with Cam Ward last year in training camp. He started slow in 2025, but did have a massive game in the comeback win over the Arizona Cardinals. Ridley caught 10 passes for 131 yards that day. Unfortunately, Ridley suffered a hamstring injury the following week against the Las Vegas Raiders. When he returned a month later, he suffered a broken leg on his first catch of the game against the Houston Texans.
He has the upside to be a number one receiver. Hopefully, he can realize some of that potential with Brian Daboll and Ward.
