The portal may not be open for undergraduates yet, but that doesn’t mean players aren’t available. The coaching carousel has led to decommitments across the country. Arizona head coach Becky Burke and her staff benefited when former Florida commit Arynn Finley announced her pledge to the Wildcats on social media Wednesday evening.
Finley is a four-star recruit who is ranked by all four recruiting sites tracked by Arizona Desert Swarm.
ESPN has Finley the highest at No. 48. The site gives the 5-foot-10
shooting guard a grade of 94.
Her next-highest ranking comes from On3/Rivals. That service has Finley at No. 49 in its internal ranking and No. 43 in its industry ranking. She is ranked as the No. 18 shooting guard and the No. 7 player in the state of California. Rivals gives her a grade of 94.81.
Prospects Nation comes next, ranking Finley as the 55th-best player in the country.
247sports ranks Finley 56th in its internal rankings and 52nd in its composite. It has her as the No. 10 shooting guard in the country and the No. 7 player in California. The service gives her a grade of 91.
Finley attends Etiwanda High School in Rancho Cucamonga, Calif. where she surpassed 1,000 career points in January. Etiwanda won the California Open Division championship in 2023, 2024, and 2025. This year, the Eagles lost to eventual champions Ontario Christian in the regional semifinals. Finley and her teammates finished the season 30-4.
Finley played club ball for Seven Days Basketball on the Adidas circuit. She had offers from multiple Power 4 programs, including Big 12 foes TCU, West Virginia, Oklahoma State, and UCF.
As of now, Arizona has at least six guards who are expected to be on the roster next season. Burke said that they have an international recruit who has not yet announced her commitment, but the head coach could not give any more information due to NCAA rules. The Wildcats likely still need an experienced point guard from the transfer portal.
