Each practice day this season, the Kansas City Chiefs release an official injury report ahead of the next game. In Week 7, the Chiefs play the Seattle Seahawks on “Sunday Night Football.”

Chiefs
- On Monday, head coach Andy Reid told reporters that left tackle Josh Simmons — who returned to practice last week from a back injury that has sidelined him since the second half of training camp — would still be “ramping up” this week. That ramp up period is apparently happening off the field. Simmons was listed on Wednesday as did not participate. Simmons initial absence for this week also had a designation of
“Non-injury related (personal).” We will see if he is on the field on Thursday. Reid will next address the media on Friday. - Wide receiver Rashee Rice (Hamstring) did not participate in practice. He tweaked his hamstring during the first quarter of the Week 4 win over the Las Vegas Raiders. Reid said Rice is “getting better as we go, by the day, so that helps” on Wednesday.
- Right tackle Jaylon Moore (Concussion) did not participate in practice after entering the concussion protocol during the Week 6 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. Moore’s participation going forward is dependent on the contracted independent neurologist and completely out of the team and player’s hands. Backup Joshua Ezeudu stepped in for Moore, and Reid acknowledged the reserve’s opportunity to fill in on Wednesday.
“First of all, he’s played before; when we brought him in, we knew that. We knew he was a good player; now he potentially has an opportunity
to be in there. I thought he did a nice job when he was in there this past weekend. I think everyone around him has confidence in him, too.”
- Cornerback L’Jarius Sneed (Knee) was a limited participant in practice. His time on the field is regularly managed due to a lingering knee issue.
- Tight end Travis Kelce (ankle) was a limited participant in practice. Kelce briefly left in Week 6 against the Chargers and was seen multiple times having his ankle taped.
- Linebacker Cooper McDonald (knee) was a limited participant in practice. McDonald was placed on the team’s Reserve/Injured list after suffering a knee injury in Week 1. Although he has been “designated to return,” McDonald must be officially added to the active roster by Saturday in order to play against Seattle. The Chiefs seemingly opened a roster spot for McDonald by waiving linebacker Cam Jones on Tuesday.
- Wide receiver Cyrus Allen (knee), safety Chamarri Conner (knee), guard Trey Smith (hip) and quarterback Patrick Mahomes (knee) were full participants in practice.
Seahawks
The notable news for the Seahawks is an upgrade for running back Zach Charbonnet — now Chiefs’ running back Kenneth Walker’s backfield partner for the previous three seasons in Seattle. Charbonnet tore his ACL during the postseason and remains on the team’s Reserve/Physically-Unable-to-Perform (PUP) list. Charbonnet returned to practice on October 1 and was listed as a full participant for the first time on Wednesday. He is highly likely to make his return against the Chiefs.
- Pass rusher Demarcus Lawrence (non-injury related – rest), linebacker Connor O’Toole (hamstring), linebacker Chazz Surratt (calf), and linebacker Drake Thomas (ankle) did not participate.
- Linebacker Tyrice Knight, former Missouri quarterback Drew Lock, wide receiver Rasheed Shaheed (hip) and guards Anthony Bradford (knee) and Beau Stephens (knee) were limited particpants.
