Tennessee is back at Neyland Stadium this afternoon, set to take on the UAB Blazers. The Volunteers are coming off of a brutal loss last weekend, finding a way to lose to Georgia once again. Today serves as a bounce-back spot ahead of truly getting into the thick of SEC play.
UAB and Tennessee have played five times since 1998. Tennessee is 5-0 in the series, last beating the Blazers back in 2019.
Joey Aguilar and Chris Brazzell are coming off of their national coming out party last weekend and will
be trying to keep the momentum going ahead of Mississippi State next weekend. The Tennessee offense looks like it’s back to the way it used to be, now armed with a quarterback capable of stretching the field.
Tennessee’s defense needs to get healthy, but in the meantime they’ll have to build out some depth. They should have a chance to do that today, with the Volunteers being favored by 40 points.
