It was an eventful week for some Bayern loanees. The Bundesliga teams had two matches each this week as the Hinrunde ended and the Rückrunde began. Zaragoza was named man of the match and scored a goal. Peretz made his Championship debut for Southampton after a successful FA Cup fixture last weekend. Also, check out what Kusi-Asare did in just minutes on the field. All this and more below:
FC Bayern Munich
There are nine players from on loan from the first team.
Germany – Bundesliga
There are three players on loan to the German Bundesliga:
Alexander Nübel, Arijon Ibrahimovic, and Armando Sieb.
Alexander Nübel – VfB Stuttgart
Nübel started for Stuttgart at home against Eintracht Frankfurt. He faced his first shot on goal in the fifth minute, but he was not able to keep it out of the net. His team had his back and took a 2-1 lead before halftime with out facing another shot on goal. His first save came early in the second half. Eintracht found an equalizer in the 80th minute, but Stuttgart found a late winner in the 87th minute. Nübel secured the win with two more saves in the 89th minute. Stuttgart won 3-2.
Nübel also started for Stuttgart in their second home match of the week against Union Berlin. He did not face a shot on goal for most of this match until 83rd minute when he also conceded a goal — an equalizer in Berlin’s first shot on goal. This must have woken Berlin up, because they recorded two more shots on goal in the 85th and 88th minutes. Luckily he was up to the task to save those, but his teammates could not find a winner and the match finished 1-1.
Stuttgart will travel to Italy to face AS Roma in the Europa League on Thursday. They return to Germany with another road game away to Monchengladbach.
Arijon Ibrahimović – 1. FC Heidenheim
Ibrahimović started for Heidenheim away to Mainz and fellow loanee Sieb. He had four shots — one on goal and three blocked. He also created two chances for his teammates to shoot. He played the full 90 minutes but was not able to find his team to enough to pick up points on the road. They fell 3-2.
Ibrahimović started and played the full 90 minutes again for Heidenheim on the road against Wolfsburg. He did not have a shot attempt this match, but created four chances for his teammates to shoot. He also tracked back on defense and recorded two interceptions and seven recoveries. Wolfsburg and Heidenheim each scored a goal and took a point each.
Heidenheim will host RB Leipzig on Saturday.
Armindo Sieb – 1. FSV Mainz 05
Sieb started at home against Sieb’s Heidenheim. He had just one shot, which was on target and credited as a big chance missed. He was subbed out in the 59th minute with his team 2-0. Heidenheim scored a goal but Mainz held on for a 2-1 home win.
Sieb started for Mainz on the road against FC Köln. He had a very similar match one the weekend as he did midweek. He played 61 minutes and again had just one shot which was on goal and credited as a big chance missed. The difference this time was that he left the match at 1-1 and Mainz conceded a late winner leading to a 2-1 loss on the road.
Mainz will host Wolfsburg on Saturday.
England – Premier League
There are two player on loan to the English Premier League: João Palhinha and Jonah Kusi-Asare.
João Palhinha – Tottenham
Palhinha was not on the bench for Spurs’ 2-1 home loss against crosstown rivals, West Ham United.
Tottenham will host BVB Dortmund in the Champions League on Tuesday. They return to league play on Saturday away to Burnley.
Jonah Kusi-Asare – Fulham
Kusi-Asare was on the bench for Fulham’s match at Leeds United. He came into the match in the 88th minute to a scoreless draw. He did not have a single touch in the eight minutes on the field, but he saw his team concede a late winner and picked up a yellow for a stray elbow in an eventful stoppage time. Fulham fell 1-0 on the road.
Fulham will host Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday.
England — Championship
Daniel Peretz is the only player on loan to England’s Championship.
Daniel Peretz — Southampton
Peretz made his Championship debut for Southampton on Saturday at home against Hull City. He had just one save in the three shots on goal he faced. All three shots on goal came in the first half. His teammates could only find one goal and they fell 2-1 at home.
Southampton will host Sheffield United on Wednesday. They will also be on the road against Portsmouth on Sunday.
Spain – La Liga
Bryan Zaragoza is the only player on loan to Spain’s La Liga.
Bryan Zaragoza – Celta Vigo
Zaragoza started for Celta Vigo on Monday against Sevilla. He played the first 61 minutes and had one shot — ong goal — and created on chance for his teammates to shoot. The match was still scoreless when he was subbed off. His teammates found a late goal from the penalty spot in the 88th minute. Celta Vigo won 1-0.
Zaragoza started again on Sunday at home against Rayo Vallecano and had a great match. He had two shots — both on goal including a goal scored from the penalty spot after he drew the foul himself. Zaragoza also created one chance for his teammates to shoot and won nine duals — the most duals of anyone in the match. He played the full match, leading Celta Vigo to a 3-0 win and earning player of the match.
Celta Vigo will host Lille from France’s Ligue 1 in the Europa League on Thursday. They will travel to face Real Sociedad on Sunday.
Switzerland – Super League
Lovro Zvonarek is the only player on loan from the first team to the Swiss Super League.
Lovro Zvonarek – Grasshopper
Grasshopper hosted league leaders, Thun, in the first match back from Winter break. Zvonarek started and played the full 90 minutes but was not able to contribute much to the match. He did not have a shot, nor did he create any chances for his teammates to shoot and only completed 53% of his passes. He tracked back on defense and recorded four clearances, an interception, and three recoveries, but none of this was enough to help his team win. They dropped their first match of 2026 3-1.
Grasshopper will travel to face Lausanne on Saturday.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
There are two players from the first team on loan to the 2. Bundesliga: Maurice Krattenmacher and Tarek Buchman.
Maurice Krattenmacher – Hertha BSC
Hertha also started the New Year by hosting league leaders, Schalke 04. Krattenmacher started for Berlin but his start was cut short because he was forced off with injury after only 35 minutes. He is listed on the injury report for next week with a knock.
Hertha will travel to face Scholl’s Karlsruher SC on Saturday.
Tarek Buchman – 1. FC Nürnberg
Buchman is still listed on the injury report with a foot injury, but the return date is still unknown. Nürnberg won their first match of the season 3-1 against SV Elversberg.
Nürnberg will travel to face SV Darmstadt on Friday.
FC Bayern Munich II
There are seven players on loan from the second team.
Germany – 2. Bundesliga
There are two players on loan from the second team in the 2. Bundesliga: Noel Aseko and Paul Scholl.
Noel Aseko – Hannover 96
Aseko started for Hannover in their first match back against Kaiserslautern on the road. He did not have a shot attempt and created one chance for his teammates to shoot. He also completed 92% of his passes. Aseko was subbed off in the 64th minute with the match still scoreless.. but that did not last long. Hannover scored minutes later, but ten minutes later conceded a goal and picked up a red card within two minutes. Kaisterslautern scored two stoppage time goals and beat Hannover 3-1.
Hannover will host Fortuna Düsseldorf on Saturday.
Paul Scholl – Karlsruher SC
Scholl started for KSC on the road against Preußen Münster and played the full 90 minutes at center back. He had one shot — off target form a corner kick — and created one chance for his teammates to shoot. On defense, he recorded a blocked shot, seven clearances — three of them with his head — one interception, and two recoveries. This was enough to help KSC keep a shutout and win 2-0.
Karlsruhe will host Krattenmacher and Hertha BSC on Saturday.
Germany – 3. Liga
Max Schmitt is the only player on loan in the 3. Liga.
Max Schmitt – SSV Ulm 1846
Schmitt started and played the full 90 minutes against Wehen Wiesbaden at home. He faced five shots on goal and was able to save all but one of them. conceding one goal in the 80th minute. His teammates were unable to score a goal and they fell 1-0 at home.
Ulm will travel to East Germany to face Erzgebirge Aue on Saturday.
Germany – Regionalliga
There are two players on loan in the Regionalliga Südwest: Benedikt Wimmer and David Emmanuel.
The Regionalliga Südwest will return on February 21
Benedikt Wimmer – SV Sandhausen
David Emmanuel – Hessen Kassel
Switzerland – Super League
Johnathan Asp Jensen is the only player from the second league on loan to the Swiss Super League.
Johnathan Asp Jensen – Grasshopper
Asp also started and played the full 90 minutes at home against Thun. Like his fellow loanee, Zvonarek, Asp had limited contributions against the league leaders. He had the least amount of touches for anyone that played the full 90 minutes. In his limited touches he had three shots — one on goal and two that missed the target. Grasshopper fell 3-1 at home to start the New Year.
Grasshopper will travel to face Lausanne on Saturday.
Austria – Bundesliga
Maximilian Hennig is the only player on loan to the Austrian Bundesliga.
Maximillian Hennig – TSV Hartberg
Hartberg will return to play on February 7.
Austria – 2. Liga
Mudaser Sedat is the only person on loan to Austria’s second league.
Mudaser Sedat – Amstetten
Amstetten will return on February 22.
