Good morning, baseball fans!
As we are getting closer to the holidays, I thought we could take some time to revisit some of the San Francisco Giants’ best games. Or at least a few of my personal favorites.
Over the weekend, we watched both of Tim Lincecum’s no-hitters from 2013 and 2014. But if you’re looking for the really good stuff from Lincecum, we have to go back a couple of years and take a look at his performances in the 2010 World Series run.
While I would argue that Game 5 of the 2010 World Series was not necessarily the best, lights-out, pitching we saw from Lincecum in that postseason (that honor goes to his NLDS Game 1 start, in which he struck out 14 in nine innings against the Atlanta Braves), this game is probably THE most iconic game for Giants fans because it secured the championship that we’d been waiting decades for.
If you haven’t gotten your presents wrapped yet, now would be an excellent time to settle in, watch the game and get that taken care of! Enjoy!
