The Michigan football team is back on the road, for, surprisingly, only the second time this season. And this time, the Wolverines are hitting the home of the nation’s best pizza and bagels, Tony Soprano and Bruce Springsteen, which also happens to be my homeland.
That’s right. Michigan is headed to New Jersey to take on Rutgers in Piscataway this weekend. A win for the Wolverines puts them just one win away from securing bowl eligibility, whereas a loss to a struggling Scarlet Knights team could
be disastrous for an already spiraling season for the Wolverines.
With it being midday on the Friday before the game, that means we have yet another uniform combination! As announced by the program on social media, Michigan will roll out against Rutgers in white jerseys with white pants and maize accessories.
It’s one the Wolverines’ most popular away looks, combining the traditional white standard of college football away uniforms with Michigan’s own maize accents.
Personally, I don’t mind these. They’re a program staple for a reason, and even though I prefer the white jerseys with blue pants for some pop, I don’t fault those who prefer to keep the all-whites for color synergy.
This is a pretty tame Halloween costume, but hopefully the Wolverines can still conjure up some scares for the Scarlet Knights before trick-or-treating begins tomorrow night.
