All it took was one shot taken, one simple movement that did not quite go right and Serge Gnabry’s season was over. During a shooting drill in mid-April, the Bayern Munich player tore his adductor muscle, not only ruling him out for the season but ruling him out of World Cup duty entirely. It was a devastating blow for the 30-year-old, who now has to focus on recovering and making his comeback in the 2026/27 season.
And the the former Arsenal FC player is hard at work in order to make that comeback.
BILD reports (as captured by @iMiaSanMia) the current status of the player:
Serge Gnabry continued his rehab training on Monday at Säbener Straße under rehab manager Benjamin Sommer – the German international did running laps and drills with the ball – but once again, all in running shoes. Bayern’s expectation for Gnabry was up to 4 months on the sidelines. Two and a half months have already passed. His goal is to return for the start of the season in August.
Bayern will need their #7 back and firing as soon he can be back. Hopefully Gnabry will return and find his old form again quickly.
