Conor McGregor’s return fight is just one week away as “Notorious” meets Max Holloway atop UFC 329 on July 11 from Las Vegas, Nevada, but not everyone is excited for the return of the Irish superstar.
Next weekend’s main event will mark the first time in five years that McGregor is stepping inside of the Octagon. At 37 years of age, McGregor’s return to the sport comes with significant question marks. What kind of fight shape is he in? Will he still possess his legendary knockout power? How dedicated
is he after 60 months away from the sport?
All of these questions and more will be answered next weekend as McGregor locks horns with “Blessed” in a rematch nearly 13 years in the making, but some fight fans are already giving up on “Notorious.” Holloway is a tough ask for a returning McGregor, which is probably why a large collection of UFC fans are giving the Irishman very littles chances to win.
Check out some of the pre-fight banter below and let us know your thoughts just one week out from McGregor’s return!
“A return to nothing but to being beat up. His new run will be short lived. He’s washed.”
“He’s back to biting more than he can chew. His next few fights will be an abysmal end of his career. Take it from me.”
“If Conor doesn’t knock max out early he’s cardio will be the deciding factor.”
“Getting KO’d.”
“Sleep Conor sleep.”
“The return of the r-pist. Let’s celebrate! Money over everything, right? Disgusting lack of morality. Don’t you all have mothers, sisters, daughters or wives?”
“If you lose you better retire bro…”
“Who the f—k cares.”
“Yall trying hard. He’s a pos has been.”
“Hes is way out of shape low key.”
