On Wednesday, Netflix announced that its Thanksgiving Eve game, a 7 pm CT kickoff on Wednesday, November 25th, will be a contest between the Green Bay Packers and Los Angeles Rams in Inglewood. This is the first Thanksgiving Eve game, a new timeslot for the league, and it’ll be interesting to see how the league handles everything around a mid-season Wednesday kickoff after years of playing on Thursday night.
With such a quick turnaround, it would make sense if the Packers had a bye week the week prior to their matchup against the Rams, since a Sunday to Wednesday split seems brutal. The other option, I guess, would be playing on Thursday Night Football the week prior.
Wisconsin snowbirds love to take over West Coast stadiums, but a night game the day before a major holiday is going ot make it tougher for them to make the trip to SoFi Stadium this time around. That probably will help out the Rams with keeping a home crowd in the stadium.
Keep an eye out as we provide you with more updates on the Packers’ upcoming schedule. A full schedule release is planned for the league on Thursday.
