I’m going to be honest here, folks. In light of recent events, this series has lost some serious juice.
Penn State football is now in recruiting purgatory. The entire 2027 class has disappeared, and those still committed to the Nittany Lions’ Class of 2026 are taking offers and visits elsewhere. Still, we’re going to do our best here to roll the tape of those who are still technically committed.
Despite his team’s loss to unbeaten foe Carlsbad (CA), four-star quarterback Troy Huhn threw for 151 yards
and two touchdowns in a powerhouse showdown. It was Mission Hills’ (San Marcos, CA) first loss of the season, and Huhn was sacked in the game, which was only the second time that’s happened all year. It would behoove Penn State to still get Huhn to campus in the spring.
Another guy Penn State simply needs to retain is Pennsylvania four-star athlete Matt Sieg, whose athleticism knows no bounds. He scored five times in Fort Cherry’s (McDonald, PA) most recent win and put up almost too many highlights to include in this post.
On the first play of the game, Sieg officially set the WPIAL all-time yardage record with a 70-yard run. He now sits at 11,798 all-purpose yards.
Linebacker Terry Wiggins now has eight weeks’ worth of highlights up on his Hudl page. He’s clearly bigger and more athletic than everyone else on the field, to the point where it looks a little bit dangerous for the other high school kids. His Coatesville (PA) Red Raiders are 7-1 on the season.
Tight end commit Pierce Petersohn is keeping his season of offensive dominance rolling. The four-star had a laundry list of highlights in Triton’s (Dodge Center, MN) most recent win. He’s 6-foot-5 and plays all over the field. What’s not to like?
