The Myles Garrett trade speaks for itself as the Los Angeles Rams acquire one of the best players in football, but that doesn’t mean that fans and the team won’t still miss Jared Verse who was collateral in the trade for Garrett.
Since the trade, we’ve heard that Verse handled the situation admirably as he took the information in, and asked to share the information with his teammates. It was only two years in L.A., but Verse really endeared himself to the organization and fans.
It will be interesting
to see how Verse continues to develop and whether he ends up being a long-term fixture at the NFL level. Will he stay with the Browns? May he go elsewhere? Could he ever be back with the Rams? All things to watch.
In the meantime, it’s Saturday. Pat yourself on the back as we made it.
Thank you for checking out Turf Show Times and have a great weekend!
Jared Verse had one request for Rams after being traded to Browns (ramswire)
“Both the Rams and Cleveland Browns managed to prevent any leaks before the news broke on Monday, which was important with Jared Verse being involved in the deal. Not only did Sean McVay make sure to tell Verse he was being traded before word got out, but Verse wanted to let his teammates know himself.
Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated shared in his column Friday that Verse had one request for the Rams: that he be the one to tell the team in a meeting that day, which the Rams granted him.“

“Per Breer, Rams coach Sean McVay asked Verse to meet with him and GM Les Snead in McVay’s office after a 9:45 a.m. position meeting. After breaking the news of the trade to Verse, which Snead said the 25-year-old handled in a way that “a dad would want his son to do,” Verse made just one request of his former coach and GM; He wanted to break the news to his teammates in their team meeting at 10:00 a.m.“

“The Rams should absolutely contend. If there is continuity on offense, they’ll be one of the best in the league. The defense has been upgraded by several degrees. If the new defense is worth a couple of extra stops per game, the Rams are in great shape!” -delusionalramfanslosteve
