After beginning Jacksonville Jaguars prep as a limited participant, Eli Raridon joined the sidelined for the New England Patriots.
The rookie tight end sat out Thursday’s practice due to a thigh injury that prevented him from finishing last weekend’s 20-3 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers. The home opener brought his first NFL start as well as one reception for 30 yards across 11 offensive snaps.
Outside linebackers Dre’Mont Jones and Quintayvious Hutchins remained missing in Foxborough along with safety
Craig Woodson.
Here’s the second injury report ahead of Sunday’s 1 p.m. ET kickoff at EverBank Stadium.
DID NOT PARTICIPATE
Patriots
- TE Eli Raridon (thigh)
- LB Dre’Mont Jones (shoulder)
- LB Quintayvious Hutchins (knee)
- S Craig Woodson (shoulder)
Jaguars
- LB Branson Combs (not injury related — personal)
While the No. 95 overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft joined the list of non-participants for the Patriots, three others on the defensive side of the ball stayed there. The veteran Jones and the rookie Hutchins departed from the edge depth chart last Sunday at Gillette Stadium with respective shoulder and knee injuries. And an additional shoulder issue saw Woodson go from questionable to out in the late stages. The sophomore starter played 46 out of 70 defensive snaps for a safety position that has since lost Dell Pettus to injured reserve.
LIMITED PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- FB Reggie Gilliam (knee)
- OT Morgan Moses (foot)
- S Brenden Schooler (back — NFI return)
Jaguars
- RB LeQuint Allen Jr. (hip)
- WR Jakobi Meyers (thumb)
- OT Cole Van Lanen (knee)
- C Robert Hainsey (elbow, groin)
- DT DaVon Hamilton (back)
Three of Wednesday’s partial participants went forward in that capacity for the Patriots. That group would include Schooler, who recently saw his 21-day activation window open. The 2025 special teams captain missed all of training camp while on the non-football injury list and will be eligible to return to the roster in October after the initial four games of the regular season reach the rearview.
FULL PARTICIPATION
Patriots
- OT Dametrious Crownover (knee)
- DT DaQuan Jones (not injury related — personal)
- CB Carlton Davis III (neck)
Jaguars
- CB Christian Braswell (knee)
While the Patriots went without Davis last weekend due to a neck injury that saw him miss three straight practices, the starting cornerback has since been a full participant for back-to-back sessions. And he had company in that tier. A rookie on the offensive line climbed from the limited on Thursday, while a September signing on the defensive line was also back in full after being absent on Wednesday due to personal reasons.
