It’s week 16 of the NFL season and the New York Jets are on the road in New Orleans, Louisiana to take on the New Orleans Saints. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. EST.
The Jets are currently 3-11. They have been eliminated from playoff contention for the 15th straight season. To make matters worse, the Jets have been out of the game by halftime in each of their last two games. With a rookie head coach and a young team you expect growing pains, but you also hope for the team to show improvement as the season wears
on. Instead the Jets are regressing, playing their worst football of the season.

Tank commanders are rooting for the Jets to lose their remaining games for improved draft position. Others are still rooting for Jets victories. If you’re in the latter category, today’s road game against the New Orleans Saints represents the Jets’ best remaining chance to score a win this season.
The Saints are 4-10 and out of playoff contention. However, unlike the Jets, the Saints are playing their best football of the season coming into this game. After a 1-7 start to the season the Saints have won three of their last six games. The improved play coincides with the Saints inserting rookie quarterback Tyler Shough into the lineup.
The Saints have a fairly tough defense that has allowed less than 200 yards passing in seven of the last eight games. With ineffective rookie quarterback Brady Cook getting his second NFL start this week and the Jets missing both Garrett Wilson and Mason Taylor from the lineup, the Jets’ best chance for a victory would appear to be through the running game. If the offensive line and Breece Hall can get things rolling the Jets might emerge with a victory. Otherwise, this could be a long afternoon for the Green and White.
It’s the New York Jets seeking their fourth victory of the 2025 season against the New Orleans Saints today. Enjoy the game everyone.
