Barcelona left-back Alejandro Balde has been struggling with pubalgia during the early days of pre-season training with Hansi Flick’s side
Balde has had to leave group training recently to work alone in the gym and undergo treatment for the problem, according to AS.
The injury is not to thought to be a major issue, however, and Barcelona are expecting Balde to be fully fit for the start of the new La Liga campaign.
Flick is also expected to include Balde in the squad for the upcoming trip to England
for a training camp and some pre-season friendlies.
Balde isn’t the only player needing treatment right now. Ronald Araujo is also back from World Cup action but is being “carefully monitored” as he makes his way back from a calf problem.
Elsewhere, Frenkie de Jong has been sidelined with a knee ligament injury, while Raphinha is due back next week but will also be handled with care after suffering a hamstring problem at World Cup 2026.
