Marcus Rashford’s hopes of securing another loan spell at Barcelona
have been dashed thanks to a new report that states Manchester United have no intention of discussing another temporary deal with Barcelona.Barcelona did not activate the buy option in Rashford’s contract before the deadline passed on June 15th, but there has been speculation they could try to talk to United about another loan.
According to ESPN, sources at United say they “have no plans to negotiate a new loan agreement” and will
turn down “any attempt by Barcelona to agree a fresh loan for Rashford.”
Rashford is expected back at Manchester United after the World Cup but is not expected to stay. The report adds that “intermediaries are being invited to bring realistic proposals to the table” for next season.
Barcelona’s decision to sign Anthony Gordon looks to have ended Rashford’s hopes of staying on at Camp Nou, but it remains to be seen where he’ll play his football next season.
