What is the story about?
We’re currently in one of the great stretches of the calendar year when there is football on the TV every night for more than 60 days straight.
So when you come home from your day job, you can start your part time job putting hard earned American dollars on Kennesaw State versus Missouri State to potentially pay your mortgage, buy a boat or let’s be honest lose the money and not be able to do either.
UNLESS YOU FOLLOW THESE LOCKS OF THE WEEK.
A little humility though I’m currently sitting at 13-9 for
the season after a brief hiatus last week taking a week off because ya boi needed it. This week we’re going to keep building up our units and making it happen, lets fire up the locks machine.
LOCKS OF THE WEEK
- Memphis (-7) at Tulane – You don’t just go into Yulman Stadium and walk out with an easy win with a great coach like Jon Sum- oh wait, he’s gone and so is all the juice from the Green Wave program. Charles Huff has got the Tigers looking pretty damn good week in and week out, so this is going to be a double digit win for Memphis on Friday night in NOLA.
- No. 6 Alabama at No. 14 Tennessee (+7.5) – Give me the home underdog to cover more than a touchdown in Neyland Stadium. Alabama is coming off a physical and tough loss to Georgia, and a road trip and rivalry game could catch up to them. The Vols have won this game the last two times it was played in Knoxville, so maybe the Third Saturday in October will have some more upset magic.
- No. 13 Missouri at No. 9 Ole Miss (O/U 58.5) – Last Saturday’s Ole Miss defense was spectacular and exactly the kind of week this team needed to refocus. The Rebels are going to give up more than 17 points this week however. I think Missouri is going to give up more than 17 points as well as it is playing for the seventh straight week before a bye next week. There’s going to be a lot of points in this one, and I think its going to be a back and forth high scoring game. Take the over.
- No. 2 Notre Dame at No. 8 BYU (+10.5) – Another home underdog this time more than 10 points for the Irish according to the sportsbooks. The Cougars are undefeated and are powered by a talented quarterback in Bear Bachmeier. I don’t think BYU gets the upset, but this is the best test Notre Dame has had so far. A long road trip, a seven week stretch with no bye for ND, and a well caffeinated crowd in Provo could make this one come down to a late score.
