It was day 2 of practice this week for the Dallas Cowboys ahead of their game against the Philadelphia Eagles. Simply put, the team isn’t playing at its full capacity. Some of that can be attributed to injuries.
The good news is the Cowboys hope to have some players available this week despite being on the injury report. Heading into the weekend, here’s where the Cowboys stand in terms of health.
Von Miller (NIR-Rest) was back on the field today after a veteran day off. Still no sign of Drew Shelton (hamstring), as the rookie is still unable to practice with a hamstring injury. KaVontae Turpin (ribs) is tracking to miss Monday’s game. He left last week’s game, and it looks like the Cowboys will have to seek alternatives to handle return duties. He did not practice today.
Cobie Durant (hamstring) was upgraded to a full participant today at practice. Durant hopes to make his return after being injured against the Houston Texans. Tyler Guyton (calf) and George Pickens (shoulder) were both also both upgraded to full participation Thursday.
Meanwhile, DeMarvion Overshown (hamstring) and Ameer Speed (knee) were full participants once again.
Jeff McLane of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports DeVonta Smith (hamstring) was not practicing today. Joining him as DNPs were tight end Dallas Goedert (knee) and Dontayvion Wicks (ankle).
