The Denver Broncos addressed a long-term need on the offensive line with the 111th pick in the fourth round of the 2026 NFL Draft by selecting Boise State offensive tackle Kage Casey. A three-year starter for the Broncos, Casey had 41 starts at the left tackle position, but his best fit in the NFL might be at guard. That’s how he was announced when the pick was made, but he will certainly be a swing player for Denver capable of playing multiple positions.
He is a well-disciplined player who was only
flagged for three penalties across 2,638 offensive snaps. With respect to strengths, he does well getting to the second level and is a good fit for the hefty amount of zone running concepts the Broncos utilize in their offense. Casey’s big strength is being a great run blocker, with Boise State averaging over 6 yards per carry on runs behind him the past two seasons.
Kage Casey Highlights and Film
Casey was a prospect our offensive line guru Ross Allen felt very high about. With his selection, the Broncos continue to emphasize the importance of building the team through the trenches. While Casey won’t start this year for the Broncos, he has the potential to compete for a starting position in his second season with the team and has the traits and potential to be a longtime starter in the league. I trust Zach Strief’s ability to develop him.
