The Indianapolis Colts do not currently have a first round pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, held in Pittsburgh, which ‘Day 1’ officially kicks off tonight at 8 PM EST and can be viewed on NFL Network, ESPN, ESPN Deportes, as well as streamed on NFL+, Disney+, DirecTV, ESPN Unlimited, and YouTubeTV among other streaming providers.
After last year’s Sauce Gardner blockbuster trade deadline deal with the New York Jets, which cost Indianapolis its 2026 and 2027 first round picks (*and wideout AD Mitchell),
the Colts still have the following 2026 draft picks among their cupboard of draft capital:
- Second round (No. 47 overall)
- Third round (No. 78 overall)
- Fourth round (No. 113 overall)
- Fifth round (No. 156 overall)
- Sixth round (No. 214 overall)
- Seventh round (No. 249 overall)
- Seventh round (No. 254 overall)
Their biggest positional needs are arguably at linebacker, edge, and wide receiver, while upgrades could also be made at other positions, including at safety.

Popular projected consensus mock draft targets for the Colts with the 47th overall pick, which is slated to be Indianapolis’s first pick of their 2026 draft class (*although don’t rule out a trade down) and won’t occur until Friday evening for ‘Day 2,’ are Cincinnati linebacker Jake Golday, Texas linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., Texas Tech linebacker Jacob Rodriguez, and Ole Miss wideout De’Zhaun Stribling among others.
As mentioned, longtime Colts general manager Chris Ballard has already alluded to a potential trade down to possibly acquire more draft picks for Indianapolis, so keep an eye on those ‘Day 2’ picks.
While this draft weekend doesn’t carry the usual excitement without the Colts having a typical first round pick, it is an opportunity to find young talent and hopefully acquire at least a handful of future standouts—if we’re lucky!
