Jose Mourinho did not appear for the press conference after Real Madrid beat Villarreal 1-0 at the Bernabeu on Saturday.
A red card for Vinicius Junior became the major talking point from the match in the second half, which left Mourinho furious after the decision.
According to reports from Spain, he did not want to speak to the media after the game because he wants to still remain on the touchline for the next two La Liga matches. He believes that if he had attended the presser, he would have been
suspended for the upcoming games.
The red card took over the headlines after a lacklustre performance from Real Madrid, but it is obvious that if the press conference had gone ahead as planned, Mourinho would have barely talked about the performance. Just as it was against Atletico Madrid, his focus would have been on the red card.
Real Madrid face Roma in the Champions League on Wednesday.
