Barcelona’s summer transfer business is all but done following the close of the transfer window on Monday and there’s been plenty of movement once again.
Another eventful transfer window started off with another chase for Nico Williams, plenty of rumours and three new signings in the shape of Joan Garcia, Marcus Rashford and Roony Bardghji.
Yet financial issues continue to affect the Catalan giants’ transfer plans which means there were also plenty of outgoings during the close season.
Barcelona have
avoided any ‘painful sales’ but did lose Inigo Martinez in a surprise move to Saudi Pro League side Al-Nassr.
There was also plenty of chatter about Fermin Lopez heading off to Chelsea, but in the end the Barcelona star decided to continue his career with Hansi Flick’s side instead.
Let’s have a look at all Barca’s movers this summer;
Arrivals: Joan Garcia (Espanyol, €25m), Marcus Rashford (Man Utd, loan), Roony Bardghji (FC Copenhagen, €2m)
Departures: Inigo Martinez (free), Pau Victor (Braga, €12m), Pablo Torre (Mallorca, €5m), Alex Valle (Como, €6m), Jan Virgili (Mallorca, €3.5m), Clement Lenglet (Atletico, free), Hector Fort (Mallorca, loan), Inaki Pena (Elche, loan), Ansu Fati (Monaco, loan), Ander Astralaga (Granada, loan).
Oriol Romeu is also expected to depart after agreeing to terminate his contract, although there has been no official confirmation of the midfielder’s situation just yet. Youngsters including Sergi Dominguez, Noah Darvich and Eman Kospo have also moved on for minor fees.
Barcelona have also received income from former players Francisco Trincao and Jean-Clair Todibo in the summer window. Sporting bought out the rest of Trincao’s right, while Barca took a percentage of Todibo making his transfer to West Ham permanent.
