One of the hottest names in the transfer portal is set for an in-home visit with Tennessee this week. Juke Harris, a 6-7 wing transferring from Wake Forest, has been connected to Tennessee from the start. Now he’ll hear the pitch from the coaching staff.
According to the report from Grant Ramey, the visit took place on Sunday night.
Harris averaged over 21 points this season for Wake Forest. The North Carolina native shot 44 percent from the field and 33 percent from three-point range. Harris, coming
off his sophomore campaign this season, saw his numbers skyrocket in his second season in the program. Harris has also declared for the NBA Draft while keeping his options open in the transfer portal.
Tennessee has a clear need for some size at guard as they look to replace most of their roster from this season. Dai Dai Ames and Tyler Lundblade have started to solve Tennessee’s issue at guard as early additions from the transfer portal. They join big man Miles Rubin in the class so far. Guards Troy Henderson, Ethan Burg and big man DeWayne Brown are the only returnees from last season’s team.
Harris has already visited Michigan and North Carolina remains heavily in the picture. Tennessee is trying to force its way into this picture now, looking for a second chance with Harris. The Volunteers were a finalist for the former 4-star guard a couple of years ago when he ultimately landed at Wake Forest.
