The Tennessee Titans kicked off the 2026 NFL trade deadline with a huge trade, sending Jeffery Simmons to the Chicago Bears for two first-round picks. Titans GM Mike Borgonzi said he wasn’t planning on trading Simmons, but Bears GM Ryan Poiles came to him with an offer he couldn’t refuse. If Borgonzi can hit on those picks, and that’s a big IF, he can really rebuild the roster.
Borgonzi should be listening to offers on pretty much anyone that he doesn’t think will be playing at their peak in 2029
because that is the first season the Titans are really going to have a chance to make a deep run in the playoffs. The names at the top of that list would be RB Tony Pollard and WR Calvin Ridley. Amani Hooker, who is coming off a 3-interception game, is a player teams are inquiring about, but at only 29, he is a guy who would still have value in 2029, but Borgonzi is apparently not interested in moving Hooker.
Teams are reportedly calling about Pollard, but Borgonzi has declined to engage in those conversations, according to Mike Florio.
Jeremy Fowler of ESPN says that Ridley is a backup target for teams that miss out on primary WR targets.
The NFL trade deadline is Tuesday, November 10th at 3:00 Central. We will be keeping track of all of the rumors heading up to the deadline.
