Earlier this month, Federal Baseball hit 1 million page views since December when we started this new chapter for the site. It has been such an exciting journey. Getting to know all of you passionate Nationals fans has been an absolute joy. While this has not been the best season for the team, we have stuck around every step of the way.
A big shoutout to Paul Cubbage and Austin Harrelson for providing great coverage. I could not have done this without them. Both of them are such great assets to the Federal
Baseball team.

With that in mind, I wanted to go over some goals and what I want to do with the site moving forward for the rest of this season and into the offseason. Here are a few things I want to do for the rest of 2025.
Continue to Challenge the Status Quo:
Over here at Federal Baseball, we challenge the powers that be when we feel like things are not right. At the end of the Mike Rizzo/Davey Martinez era, we were not afraid to tell it like it was. Those two had a lot of credit in the bank in this town and rightfully so. However, nobody should be immune from justified critiques.
That goes for ownership as well. They have made some big promises but have failed to deliver in recent years. We are not afraid to hold their feet to the fire. However, we are also fair here at Federal Baseball. When good moves are made, we will be the first to give credit where credit is due. We want to be a voice for the fans while also providing them with new information.
A Focus on Young Talent:
With where the Nationals are right now, a light needs to be shined on young guys. They are the future of this team. As we have done all year, we will provide analysis on the young guys, both at the MLB level and on the farm.
A goal of mine is to be able to chat with some of these prospects at some point and be able to pick their brains. While there are no promises on that front, we will try our best to do that. These prospects deserve some shine and for the fans to get to know them.
In addition to that, we will be keeping you guys up to date on what is going on in the farm system. While the system does not have a top 10 prospect in baseball right now, there is a lot of depth. With that, there are a lot of names to know. Federal Baseball will let you know about all those names.
Prepare For the Offseason:
While we will continue our season coverage, more of our focus will begin to concentrate on what could happen in the offseason. It would be wrong to say the Nationals have nothing to play for. However, most of the team’s preseason goals are out the window.
It is time to start looking at 2026 and how the Nationals can get back on track. Between the GM hunt, the manager hunt and bringing more good players to the team, there is so much the Nats need to do. We will keep you updated on all of that.
Once again, thank you so much to Federal Baseball nation for 1 million page views. I have had such a good time building on what came before me and growing the site. Cheers to the next million views.
