FSU has added another 6’10 big man that can really stretch the floor; Cooper Schwieger has committed to Florida State. FSU’s red hot portal class and its top-ten high school recruiting class has led to a serious infusion of talent for its Hoops program.
It’s a cross country weekend road trip for FSU Baseball as they will be in the Bay area this weekend for an acc series against the Stanford Cardinal; Stanford is 18-19 on the season and 7-11 in the ACC:
FSU Softball will be much closer to home as they’re in Atlanta for a weekend series against Georgia Tech.
It makes sense that the only time the Plex will be empty this spring is when FSU is on the road:

FSU has offered three-star safety Seth Williams from Lakeside High School in Atlanta, Georgia:
FSU has also offered 2027 6’3 220lb edge rusher JiQuan Rogers from Ramsey High School in Birmingham, Alabama; the rising prospect has added offers from Clemson, Colorado, and Florida State in the last two weeks:
Four-star 2027 CB Joshua Vilmael from Fort Travis Bend, Texas has scheduled his official visit for the weekend of June 19th. Vilmael is ranked 250th overall in 247’s National Composite rankings
Football:
FSU has had 18 draft picks during Mike Norvell’s tenure and if Darrell Jackson Jr. is selected tonight or tomorrow he will be No. 19; not surprisingly ten of those draft picks came from the 2023 team.
Athletic department turnover has been rampant in the ACC; the latest school to make a change is Virginia Tech:
Unironically FSU is specialist ‘U’ and the next great kicker/punter could get noticed at Specialist Camp which is set to be held on June 8th:

At the moment only Darrell Jackson Jr. is projected to get drafted and if he is selected that will be 43 straight NFL Drafts with a selection for Florida State. The next step for him and maybe a few others begins this weekend:
