Kyle Daukaus kept his UFC comeback tour going earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 15, 2025) at UFC 322 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside Madison Square Garden in New York City, dropping middleweight
veteran Gerald Meerschaert and then submitting him just 50 seconds into the first round.
Daukaus, who came into Saturday night a sizeable betting favorite, made his return to UFC competition last August with a nasty 45-second knockout finish over Michel Pereira. Saturday’s contest was going to be a different affair given Meerschaert’s grappling prowess, but most still believed Daukaus would get the job done.
It didn’t long for Daukaus to utilize his newfound punching power as he planted Meerschaert on his butt with a nice left hand. Daukaus moved in and looked ready to cap off another early knockout finish, but he quickly switched to a tight D’Arce choke. “GM3” fought for a little bit before tapping and handing over the submission win to Daukaus.
Check out the video highlights below:
Daukaus, 32, is now 2-0 since returning to the UFC roster and looks better than ever. The submission expert appears to have discovered a pretty dangerous striking game and if that continue to grow there’s a good chance Daukaus could get a top 15 matchup in 2026.
