What is the story about?
I found it interesting that the Dodgers decided to use an opener against the Phillies last night. The thinking was that with the two left-handers near the top of the lineup in the guise of Kyle Schwarber and Bryce Harper, the presence of Anthony Banda on the mound would neutralize whatever gains the duo has made this year. It ended up not really working in their favor as Schwarber hit a home run, but it was still interesting nonetheless that a team as forward thinking as the Dodgers relied on old
school matchup beliefs rather than data.
