The Chicago Bears have another primetime game coming up in just six days as they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday Night Football. They’ll be going for the primetime trifecta after beating the Seattle Seahawks tonight on Monday Night Football, just a week after beating the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football.
The Bears are the first team in NFL history to beat both Super Bowl participants from the previous season in back-to-back weeks on primetime.
For the upcoming Sunday nighter
against the Buccaneers, the Bears are a 6.5-point favorite according to our partners at FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is 45.5.
The Bucs are coming off a game where they didn’t complete a single pass in a 16-0 win over the Atlanta Falcons. The game was played in steady rain, and they rushed for 324 yards on 56 attempts, while quarterback Baker Mayfield attempted only 3 passes. Tampa Bay has won three of their last four games.
Back to the Bears win over the Seahawks: this was another wire-to-wire victory, and while Seattle made it interesting at times, Chicago answered in every moment to snatch the momentum back. In the three games since Caleb Williams has returned from his hamstring injury, the Bears have never trailed at any point, and they’ve scored at least 30 points in all three games.
