Harry Kane just came off a stupendous season with Bayern Munich and the England national football team, logging 81 goals and assists from the start of the 2025/26 season all the way to the 2026 World Cup. Kane is well on the wrong side of 30, and it is thought that he just played his last World Cup match when England beat France 6-4 in the third-place match, but he’s not going to jump the gun.
“I’m coming off my best season ever and I’m nearly 33,” Kane explained (as captured by X account @iMiaSanMia).
“It’s impossible to say now, 4 years is a long time. Playing for England is my biggest ambition and the proudest thing to do. Let’s see.
“As long as I’m performing the way I’m performing, then I’ll be representing England, Kane declared. “I’ll go step by step and won’t look too far ahead. We go again with Bayern Munich in a few weeks and then the next England camp, and we go from there.”
If Kane can keep up his rate of contributing goals, then an appearance at the next World Cup at the age of 37 isn’t out of the question.
