Bayern Munich traveled to SV Elversberg and found out exactly how hard it was to play against them. The Bavarians ultimately won 2-1 thanks to goals from Lennart Karl and Harry Kane, the latter of whom hit a milestone with his strike in the 72nd minute: 150 goals for Bayern Munich in almost as many games:
That is an insane ratio, equating to almost one goal per game. Against Elversberg, the Rekordmeister didn’t
have a particularly good game: players were missing simple passes, failing to score from easy chances, and making a mess of seemingly harmless moments. Bayern worked hard to try and find a way through the resolute defensive lines of the home side while also trying to keep them from scoring down the other end.
Ultimately, Bayern prevailed due to the quality of their players, and perhaps, as Minerva McGonagall put it 25 years ago: sheer, dumb luck.
