Bayern Munich’s pending move for Eintracht Frankfurt defender Nathaniel Brown was considered to be a done deal just last week, but per Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg (as captured by @iMiaSanMia), there has been no movement in recent days:
As of yesterday (Sunday), there was still no agreement over Nathaniel Brown. The Brown package is very expensive – and at FC Bayern, every such deal also has to go through the supervisory board in the end for approval. So for now, awaiting further developments.
This might not mean anything at all, but there is some possibility that Eintracht Frankfurt could be balking a bit based on Brown’s strong World Cup showing or that Bayern Munich’s supervisory board is hesitant due to the transfer fee or salary. As of now, though, it does not feel like there is anything to be seriously worried about for fans.
Brown would be a fit at left-back for Vincent Kompany’s style and would also be a nice contingency play for the health of Alphonso Davies as well.
