Lead rumor: Malakai Black’s future
It was just a few days ago that Malakai Black released a video teasing out the evolution of his character. Then, bam, he’s bald.
Then we learned he’ll be working in Progress Wrestling for its upcoming Odyssey Tour, and he’s using the Malakai Black name, the same one he used in AEW. But it’s still unclear if he’s heading back to AEW.
That’s the word from Fightful Select, who say they haven’t heard that so far. What they have heard,
however, is that Black had some contact with MLW shortly after he was released by WWE. The conversations apparently didn’t get far but they didn’t break down either and the two sides are on good terms.
He is now a full fledged free agent who can sign anywhere. Despite that, talks with MLW have yet to pick up again.
The wait on his next move continues.

- Vince Russo claimed to Ben Veal that he was “told by one of the boys that Triple H does not like LA Knight.”
- During a chat with Wombeezy, Joe Gacy said there were talks of Alexa Bliss joining The Wyatt Sicks during the group’s early days.
- For what it’s worth, Chad Gable told WittyWhittier that the El Grande Americano character was his idea and came about because he was “wanting to kind of put more into a story that I was already involved in with these luchadors, and I wanted to take it to another level.”
- TNA has interest in Josh Bishop, says Fightful Select. He’s done work in 4th Rope Wrestling and recently had a WWE tryout.
