The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report of the week on Friday in advance of their Week 1 game against the Washington Commanders.
The Eagles ruled one player OUT: Jonathan Greenard.
Greenard returned to practice earlier this week after missing all of training camp due to a pec strain he suffered while weight training. Speaking after practice on Thursday, Greenard admitted that he’s not yet 100%. That much is reflected by him only being a limited participant in practice all week.
Ideally, the Eagles would have a healthy Greenard available for them on Sunday. But it’s good to see they’re not necessarily rushing him back before he’s ready. The Eagles should have enough talent and depth at edge rusher to still win their matchup against an entirely exploitable Commanders offensive line. Greenard might be ready for Week 2?
The Eagles ruled one player QUESTIONABLE: Eli Stowers.
Speaking to reporters after practice on Friday, Stowers said he’ll be playing. But the injury report suggest otherwise since he was limited all week due to a hamstring issue. And even if Stowers is healthy enough to play, he might be a healthy scratch anyway as the Eagles’ fourth tight end.
The rest of the active roster is healthy and ready to play.

WASHINGTON COMMANDERS INJURY REPORT (FRIDAY)
No one on the Commanders’ active roster is listed with an injury status. This despite the fact that both of their starting edge rushers (Odafe Oweh and K’Lavon Chaisson) and their top running back (Jacory Croskey-Merritt) were limited in practice all week.
The Commanders obviously have some key losses when it comes to their injured reserve list. They’ll notably be without starting left tackle Laremy Tunsil and starting cornerback Trey Amos. They’re also thinner at edge rusher than normal with Deatrich Wise Jr. on the reserve/PUP list and Dorance Armstrong suspended for Week 1.
