Does Bayern have master plan for Haaland? (TeamTalk)
Bayern Munich is working on a deal to keep Harry Kane for the next three or four years depending on exactly how long his contract extension would be.
What if, however, Bayern Munich was already mapping out a plan to secure Kane’s eventual successor? What if, the story below is correct and that replacement would be Manchester City’s Erling Haaland? That would be wild, eh? Let’s take a look at the news (with a very skeptical eye, of course):

Bayern are already carrying out due diligence on what comes next for their attack and are keen to ensure they remain in the conversation should Haaland eventually become available. The Bundesliga giants are therefore assessing the possibility of a future move for the Manchester City striker, although any pursuit would be heavily dependent on the timing of Kane’s eventual departure.
Haaland remains one of the most coveted forwards in world football, and Bayern are understood to be making sure they are prepared should the opportunity arise. The Norwegian’s camp have made no secret of his ambition to play in Spain at some stage of his career, with both Barcelona and Real Madrid continuing to be strongly linked with his future. We understand both Spanish giants have plans to try to sign Haaland in 2027 if the striker decides that is the right time to leave Man City.
The interest in Haaland from Spain makes the timeline particularly important for Bayern, who would need to establish whether the Man City superstar’s plans and Kane’s future could potentially align. Haaland knows the Bundesliga well having spent several years with Borussia Dortmund before joining Man City, but whether he would consider another spell in Germany remains to be seen.
Bayern, though, are determined to keep their options open. Their priority remains Kane and the club are working towards extending his stay, but their recruitment department are also looking beyond the England international’s current deal and assessing the elite options who could eventually replace him. Haaland is naturally at the top end of that category and Bayern want to ensure they are positioned to act if the circumstances become favourable.
For now, there is no indication that Bayern are preparing an immediate move for Haaland, with Kane still firmly at the centre of their attacking plans. The key factor will be whether Kane remains in Munich for the period Bayern currently envisage, with the club determined to manage the transition carefully rather than allow themselves to be caught without a clear succession plan.
Bayern Munich has attempted to get Haaland three times previously and does not appear to be too deterred from taking another attempt. However, Kane’s contract likely determines everything. It seems extremely unlikely (though not impossible we suppose) that Bayern Munich would have both players on the same roster. Financially, it could just be too tough to manage.
Maybe, though, it is trying to line up a Haaland signing for the time when Kane eventually exits? Even that seems like a longshot at this stage. Haaland’s current contract runs through 2034, so there is zero incentive for Manchester City to play ball here.
If Haaland does really have a strong desire to play in Spain, he might quench that thirst before Bayern Munich could get involved anyway.
In short, getting Haaland would be incredible, it is just not likely.
Roma might sign Guerreiro (ESPN)
AS Roma could be looking to sign former Bayern Munich utility man Raphaël Guerreiro:
Roma are interested in signing free-agent Raphaël Guerreiro, according to Tuttomercatoweb. The 32-year-old Portugal international left back has re-emerged as an option for manager Gian Piero Gasperini as a natural left-footed alternative on the flank, while Olympiacos are also interested in the former Bayern Munich defender.
Bayern eyeing Gibbs-White? (talkSport)
This report is a little random, but Bayern Munich is being linked to Nottingham Forest attacking midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White:
talkSPORT understands German giants Bayern Munich are one of the leading contenders to sign Gibbs-White, where he would play alongside his England co-star Harry Kane.
Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis will drive a hard bargain with any interested club, after putting the stop to a move to Tottenham Hotspur last summer and even issuing a legal complaint.
It does make us chuckle a bit when we see Bayern Munich being linked to more attacking midfielders. This is another one that we can probably file this one under “UNLIKELY.”
Atléti scoping Maza (ESPN)
Atlético Madrid could have interest in Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Ibrahim Maza:
Atlético Madrid are set to revive their pursuit of Bayer Leverkusen midfielder Ibrahim Maza, according to Goal. The 20-year-old Algeria international’s transfer could command a fee of around €70 million, though Leverkusen remain determined to retain him and are working on a contract extension with a pay rise.
Mbappé will be disappointed to not win Ballon d’Or (RFI via Fabrizio Romano)
This is getting pathetic.

Oh, but Mbappé went even further:

All respect to Mbappé for being a great player, but this isn’t the high school class officer election. Be an adult and stop the campaign.
Alaba to make decision on future soon (BuLi News)
Former Bayern Munich and Real Madrid defender David Alaba is still weighing his options for what might be next:
After his Real Madrid contract expired at the end of June, David Alaba is available as a free agent and yet to announce his next move. The 34-year-old former Bayern Munich defender has most recently been linked with 1. FC Union Berlin and Mexican record champions Club América.
His father and agent, George Alaba, has now confirmed that a decision is near, without mentioning any names.
“There have been numerous enquiries. From the USA, from Europe, everywhere,” George Alaba told Kronen Zeitung. “He will announce what happens next soon. He is doing extremely well,” Alaba’s father added.
The elder Alaba also make it clear that his son is not going to retire, nor will he going to back to his childhood club, Austria Vienna — at least not yet.
Asked about a possible return to Alaba’s youth club, Austria Vienna, his father said the time for that has not yet come.
“David has received calls. They want him, and he wants it too, but at the moment it is a little too early for him. He still has a lot planned when it comes to football.”
