LOS ANGELES — The Dodgers are back home, looking for their first win of the 2026 National League Championship Series, with Game 3 at Dodger Stadium on Wednesday night at Dodger Stadium.
A slumping Shohei Ohtani insists he is healthy, and will start Game 3 at designated hitter.
“No one knows what’s going to happen tomorrow and the ensuing days,” manager Dave Roberts said Tuesday. “At the end of the day in this big moment, we’re listening to Shohei, and we’re going to support the crap out of him and believe
in him, and that’s it.”
Much like the Dodgers are trying to turn things around in this series, Snell is trying to turn things around after needing 90 pitches to record only 11 outs in Game 2 of the NL Division Series against the Atlanta Braves on October 4. Snell walked five in that game, though only one run was charged to his ledger in a game the Dodgers eventually lost 3-2.
Left-hander Robert Gasser starts for the Brewers, looking for some redemption of his own. He lost both starts against the Dodgers in the regular season (May 23 and August 14), allowing a total of seven runs in 10 2/3 innings. Gasser started Game 3 of the NLDS for Milwaukee in San Diego, and allowed one run in four innings, with three strikeouts.
