Qatar was the runaway favorite, with 59% of the vote. However, their loss today to Bosnia & Herzegovina means they will finish in fourth in Group B, and their tournament is done. Thankfully, Bosnia was the second favorite pick with 22% of the vote to be
the USMNT’s preferred opponent. Other teams that were listed include Saudi Arabia (9%), Panama (6%), and Algeria (3%). There were some other options, but the Other category only got 1%.
The USMNT will learn their opponent soon, but we will keep our eyes on the matches to see which third place team slides into that Round of 32 match in Santa Clara.
