Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni talked to the press right after the team’s 2-1 win over Barcelona in El Clásico. The Frenchman praised the performance from Los Blancos.
“We did what he had to
do today, performed at a high level and followed our game plan. We deserved the win. It’s true that against Atlético we struggled but today we had another chance to prove ourselves and we did it to perfection. The entire team played really well. We need to keep it up in the following games,” said the midfielder.
Tchouameni was asked about the controversy surrounding Lamine Yamal’s quotes this week.
“I like that, at the end of the match we saw a little bit of things between the players, we help each other to compete. When I was little I saw those things against Barcelona and stayed calm. I like it, they’re only words, there’s no bad intention. With determination it helped us a little more. I kind of like it, if Lamine wants to talk there’s no problem, the match is played on the field and we won, we’re very happy with our game and we’re going to look ahead,” he concluded.
