Bayern Munich, like Serge Gnabry, has enjoyed an incredible start to the 2025/26 campaign. And perhaps the resurgence of a player like Gnabry is not merely incidental to the team’s success.
Bayern lost Leroy Sané, Kingsley Coman, and — temporarily — Jamal Musiala, and that has opened up chances for players like Gnabry, who once looked like a forgotten man in the Bavarian attacking ranks. It’s a chance he has taken fully and rewarded his coach.
“It’s very impressive how he relies on the players he has,”
Gnabry shared in an interview for Sky Germany (as captured by @iMiaSanMia). “I think all of us feel the same way: we feel comfortable under him and feel the trust, even last year. He’s doing really well.
“The longer we work together, the better we know each other, the better we know what the coach wants and what the guidelines are. He’s obsessed with repetition and detail, which helps us enormously because we simply know how we play, and it gives us players confidence, and that’s great, of course.”
Could it be any clearer what a great fit Kompany has been for the club?
